About this service
— in detail
Full-house removal is the bulk of what we do on the Italy corridor. A typical full-house move runs to 30-60 cubic metres of household goods — a 3-to-4-bedroom property with the usual furniture, soft furnishings, kitchen equipment, books, and personal effects. Our crew loads in the UK, the same crew (or a paired second team for the longer journeys) takes the goods through Eurotunnel and across France to one of the alpine crossings, hands off to the destination team at the Italian border, and the goods arrive at your Italian address with the inventory matched against your survey notes.
The full-house quote covers door-to-door transit, customs paperwork at both ends (EORI, ToR1, Italian dogane), all-risks goods-in-transit insurance, and the destination handling for whichever Italian region you are heading to. Optional extras (full-pack, custom crates for fragile items, vehicle and piano specialist add-ons, climate-controlled storage either side, ferry to Sicily or Sardinia) are itemised on the quote.
We do not subcontract the full-house move to mystery third parties. The team that comes to load is the team responsible for the journey; the destination team in Italy is briefed individually for your specific property and access situation — including the regional specifics like ZTL permits in Florence or Rome, strada bianca access in Tuscany, or boat-firm coordination for a Venice canal-side delivery.

Common questions
-
Volume (cubic metres of household goods), distance from UK origin to Italian destination, route specifics (Mont-Blanc / Brenner / coastal Genoa / Sicily ferry), access at both ends, and any optional extras. Surveyor visits and the figure follows by email.
-
Loading: someone trusted at the UK property — usually the household. Delivery: someone authorised to receive at the Italian address. The destination coordinator can sometimes accept against documented authorisation.
-
Common — Italian conveyancing runs on its own clock. We hold goods at our partner depots in your destination region until the rogito (notary deed) is signed. Charged separately, flexible duration.
-
Depends on volume, route, and customs. Italian destinations are several days longer transit than French equivalents because of the longer route and alpine crossing. Written quote includes the likely window.
-
Yes — Tuscany, Umbria, Puglia rural moves with unsealed-lane access are routine. Smaller-vehicle final-mile transfer planned at survey.
