Booking terms

These terms, together with the written quote and the booking confirmation, form the contract between us. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Quotes

Written quotes are valid for thirty days from issue. After that we may need to re-survey or re-quote depending on changes in route conditions, fuel costs, or move details.

Booking and deposit

A booking is confirmed when you sign the quote and pay the deposit. The deposit is refundable up to fourteen days before scheduled collection. Deposits are protected under the the deposit terms stated in this contract, including the refund window.

Balance payment

The balance is due before the lorry leaves the UK. Payment by bank transfer or card.

Cancellation

Cancellation more than fourteen days before scheduled collection: deposit refunded in full. Within fourteen days: charge equal to the deposit. Within seventy-two hours: deposit plus reasonable costs already committed.

Insurance

All-risks goods-in-transit cover included with every move, underwritten by an established UK marine insurer. Certificate accompanies the written quote.

Claims

Claims must be reported in writing within seven days of delivery. Photographs and inventory document accompany the claim.

Customs paperwork

We file UK-end customs (EORI, ToR1, HMRC C1331) and the Italian dogane filing on your behalf. You warrant the inventory information you provide is accurate.

Items we cannot move

Live plants and animals, perishable food, hazardous materials (including lithium-ion batteries above certain capacities), items prohibited under UK or Italian customs law. Full list with the written quote.

Disputes

Raise a complaint with us in writing and we will respond in writing. If we cannot resolve it between us, you retain every right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and may refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution provider or to the courts. Where we hold a trade-body membership offering an independent scheme, its number and the route to it are published in the site footer.
